Improved intelligence processing and information technology.

These have largely been addressed and improvements made.

That was one area which the reform process needed to address vigorously.

The purpose of the report is to contribute to the reform exercises undertaken by UNHCR with a view to improving its management and administration.

The focus on safer roads will enable us to deal with the need to improve road design, construction and management.

Despite some positive changes in the processing of claims for reimbursement, there was still need for improvement.

200. In solidifying and further advancing management reforms, the Department of Management will have to address a number of concerns.

Croatia supports the efforts to introduce significant human resource management reforms in the Secretariat.

Our achievements so far must also give impetus to our ongoing work on other important reform issues  the Human Rights Council, development follow up and reform of the Economic and Social Council, Secretariat and management reform, Security Council reform and the work on counter terrorism.

87. The Division placed increased importance on management audits as a means to improve the overall administration and management of the Secretariat of the United Nations.

We also believe that reform must also deal with the Council's working methods, which must be improved in order to enhance its transparency and accountability.

As it has consistently stated and demonstrated, the Group of 77 and China supports reform for better management and improved efficiency in the Secretariat.

The Bill, amongst others, makes provision for an improved mechanism of control, deals with the issue of import and export licences and the safekeeping of firearms.

The Board also agreed with the need to provide an improved operational management structure for the Investment Management Service in view of the rapid growth in the size of the Fund apos s investments, and consequently endorsed the recommendation to reclassify the post of the Chief of the Service from the D 1 to the D 2 level, with the title of Director of the Investment Management Service.

Real progress on those fundamental reforms will prove that the United Nations can address greater issues of change, in particular the reform of the Security Council.

The Advisory Committee notes from paragraph 238 of the report that the Board also agreed with the need to provide an improved operational management structure for the Investment Management Service of the Fund and, consequently, endorsed the reclassification of the post of the Chief of the Service, from the D 1 to the D 2 level.

The third part of the report, dealing with impact, should be developed further in future editions.

37. Much improvement has taken place in the development of information processes serving the system but information exchange could be further improved to strengthen the early warning capacity.

We firmly believe that a bold decision on the Security Council reform issue will not delay the reform process, but will create the further momentum needed to tackle other important reform issues during the September summit.

With regard to enhancing the document to make it easier to understand and use, the Secretariat introduced two models.

The Officer will also be responsible for improving and modernizing the existing electronic data processing equipment.

(d) Attention given to addressing audit observations and recommendations on ways to improve or strengthen policies, procedures and processes.

They can actually put this in their natural ecosystem without any processing, and it's going to improve the local soil.

The fate of internally displaced persons is one of the main topics addressed through this reform process.
