The integrated mission task force concept represented an ambitious mechanism by which integrated planning would be conducted with all United Nations partners throughout the life cycle of a complex peace operation.

The proposed merging of ISAF and coalition forces in regard to planning and logistical lines is starting to show results, with plans to assign a single representative of both forces to ministries, non governmental organizations or United Nations agencies and other merging initiatives.

UNICEF has been successful in the implementation of its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

7. Underscores the importance of consultation with troop contributing countries from the early stages of mission planning

The use of sex disaggregated information in programme planning is encouraged, inter alia, through the people oriented planning training programme and will be enhanced by the new operations management system planning and implementation mechanisms.

National drug control planning and coordination institutions will be established or strengthened, national drug control plans adopted, and drug control concerns included in national development plans.

The Special Committee urges the Secretariat to consult with the troop contributing countries concerned when planning a drawdown of troops in any peacekeeping operation.

In addition, we encourage United Nations funds, programmes and specialized agencies to strengthen coordination, cohesion and programming mechanisms as a means of enhancing support for African countries.

The parties agreed that the Moroccan armed forces would be reduced and confined strictly in accordance with the provisions of the settlement plan.

This will involve the preparation of a methodology for an integrated planning system with elements of programme planning, human resources planning, organizational and financial planning and the building of an operational planning model.

Amendment of the legislation concerning the armed forces and the intelligence bodies will remain stalled until the constitutional articles defining the role of the armed forces have been amended.
