The estimate for daily allowances is based on the standard rate of 1.28 per person day.

Provision is made for the requirements of 780 contingent personnel for a total of 284,700 person days at the rate of 17 per person per day.

The cost estimate provides for a total of 32,850 person days at the rate of 72 per person per day.

Provision is made for allowances for 345 civilian police observers for a total of 125,925 person days at the rate of 72 per person per day.

The cost estimate provides for (a) recreational leave for 955 contingent personnel at 10.50 per day for seven days per person for every six month period of service ( 140,400) and (b) other welfare at 4 per person per month for a total of 11,460 person months ( 45,800).

(a) Military observers Mission subsistence allowance daily rate

Based on daily fuel consumption of 15 litres at 0.4491 per litre.

The cost estimates included provision for the payment of a daily allowance at 1.28 per person per day for 33,945 person days ( 43,400).

While the previous submission was based on a cost of 0.25 per bottle for 18 bottles per week ( 0.64 per day) for a year, the current submission is based on 0.225 per bottle for 72 bottles for a year only for contingency purposes.

The estimates simply referred to the per diem costs.

Provision is made for a daily allowance for incidental personal expenses to all contingent personnel at the rate of 1.28 per person day for a total of 696,140 person days, in accordance with the repatriation schedule.

The revised cost estimate provides for rations for a total of 561,917 person days compared with the original estimate for 428,174 person days at the rate of 17 per person day and in accordance with the phased withdrawal of 3,686 contingent personnel.

The revised cost estimate provides for (a) recreational leave for an estimated average of 3,653 personnel based on the repatriation schedule, at 10.50 per day for seven days per person for every six month period of service ( 268,500) and (b) other welfare at 4 per person month for a total of 22,812 person months ( 91,200).

The estimate was calculated for a total of 63,875 person days at the rate of 35 per person per day.

The cost estimate was based on 90 per day in the demilitarized zone, 75 per day in Kuwait City and 125 per day in Baghdad.

Provision is made for 908 contingent personnel at 4.99 per person per day for 365 days ( 1,653,800).

After the enforcement of new regulations, the plan of security check would be released once every day at 9 00 and 21 00, and the plan of passing dam would be released once every day at 14 00 and 20 00, so that the ships could flexibly arrange the plan of passing dam.

Provision of 38,200 is made for mission subsistence allowance for international staff for the estimated 637 person days at the approved rate of 60 per person per day.

Provision for rations has been made for 415,420 person days at 6 per person per day ( 2,492,500).

Provision of 86,900 is made for daily incidental personal expenses for 186 contingent personnel at a rate of 1.28 per day for 67,890 person days

Provision was made in the cost estimates for payment of mission subsistence allowance for 729 person days at 99 per day for staff at the D 2 and D 1 levels ( 72,200) and for 58,798 person days at a rate of 90 per day ( 5,291,800), for a total of 5,364,000.

The daily circulation of all titles is estimated at almost 1.5 million.

Based on average daily consumption of 15 litres per vehicle for gasoline powered vehicles and 30 litres per vehicle for diesel powered vehicles at 0.4491 and 0.3535 per litre for gasoline and diesel fuel, respectively, plus oil and lubricants at 10 per cent of the fuel cost.

The estimate is based on 24 hour security coverage in Zagreb at local rates of approximately 1,000 per man per month.

The provision of 1,650,000 under this heading was based on the cost of rations of 9 per person per day.

It shall at the beginning of the session adopt a programme of work indicating, if possible, a target date for the conclusion of its work, the approximate dates of consideration of items and the number of meetings to be allocated to each item.
