The estimate for daily allowances is based on the standard rate of 1.28 per person day.

Based on daily fuel consumption of 15 litres at 0.4491 per litre.

The cost estimate provides for a total of 32,850 person days at the rate of 72 per person per day.

Provision is made for a daily allowance for incidental personal expenses to all contingent personnel at the rate of 1.28 per person day for a total of 696,140 person days, in accordance with the repatriation schedule.

The cost estimate was based on 90 per day in the demilitarized zone, 75 per day in Kuwait City and 125 per day in Baghdad.

The estimate was calculated for a total of 63,875 person days at the rate of 35 per person per day.

The estimate for 222 computers is based on standard annual maintenance support rates of 550 per computer and 150 per computer for desktop software.

The recorded expenditure reflects actual requirements of 1,340,880 person days at an average cost of 12.85 per person day compared with the provision for 2,095,365 person days at a cost of 10.10 per person day.

The revised cost estimate provides for rations for a total of 561,917 person days compared with the original estimate for 428,174 person days at the rate of 17 per person day and in accordance with the phased withdrawal of 3,686 contingent personnel.

The amount of 95,800 is based on 1,064 person days at 90 per day.

A daily allowance for incidental expenses is paid to all military personnel at a rate of 1.28 per person per day, payable in local currency.

Mission subsistence allowance is calculated at the rate of 72 per person day.

The budgeted amount of 152,300 is based on 200 kilometres per vehicle per day at an average consumption of 10 kilometres per litre at 0.60 per litre ( 138,700).

Provision is made for a daily allowance for incidental personal expenses to 1,037 contingent personnel at the rate of 1.28 per person day.

(i) 119 person days at 120 per day for the period 13 July to 31 August 1998 ( 14,300)

Provision is made for a daily allowance for incidental personal expenses to 955 contingent personnel for a total of 348,575 person days at the rate of 1.28 per person per day.

Based on fuel consumption of 20 litres daily per vehicle.

Deployment travel is calculated at an average one way cost of 1,000 per person, and ration costs are based on 8.89 per person day for food and 5.78 per person day for water.

Provision of 86,900 is made for daily incidental personal expenses for 186 contingent personnel at a rate of 1.28 per day for 67,890 person days

Based on the estimation of sixty two trial days per accused, a further 161 trial days will be required for the completion of trial.

Provision is made for the requirements of 780 contingent personnel for a total of 284,700 person days at the rate of 17 per person per day.

Provision of 38,200 is made for mission subsistence allowance for international staff for the estimated 637 person days at the approved rate of 60 per person per day.

Provision is made for two civilian police officers at rates of 90 per person per day for the first 30 days and 75 per person per day thereafter.

The revised cost estimate provides for (a) recreational leave for an estimated average of 3,653 personnel based on the repatriation schedule, at 10.50 per day for seven days per person for every six month period of service ( 268,500) and (b) other welfare at 4 per person month for a total of 22,812 person months ( 91,200).

The estimate is calculated in accordance with the deployment schedule indicated in subparagraph (a) at the rate of 10 per person day for food and 2 per person day for bottled water for 17,465 person days (inclusive of 365 person days for 4 international staff of the Engineering Section)

Based on the standard rate of 5 per person per month.

(e) The cost of utilities comprises the cost of generator fuel based on an average monthly fuel consumption of 87,840 litres by Mission generators operating 24 hours per day for 11.6 months for a total of 1,018,944 litres at a cost of 0.66 per litre ( 672,500) and for water at an average rate of 900 per month for 11.6 months ( 10,400).

The estimate is based on the monthly rate of 8,766.

14. Vehicle insurance

Provision is made for 68 international civilian staff at rates of 90 per person per day for the first 30 days and 75 per person per day thereafter.

Provision for vehicle insurance is based on the current estimate of 52 per vehicle per month.

The provision of 928,800 was based on the average daily fuel consumption of 26.3 litres per vehicle at a cost of 0.21 per litre for a fleet of 419 vehicles.

Based on average daily consumption of 45 litres of diesel fuel per vehicle at 0.3535 per litre, plus oil and lubricants at 10 per cent of the fuel cost.

Provision is made for worldwide third party liability coverage for 387 vehicles at the rate of 829 per vehicle per year for 375 primary pattern vehicles and 400 per armoured personnel carrier (APC) per year for 12 APCs.
