14. In 1999, the following training course, workshops, conferences, symposium and seminar are planned

Four symposiums were held to address the role of the International Association of Gerontology in follow up to the Madrid assembly.

The SBI may wish to express support for the further development of the proposals highlighted during the in session workshop.
