In fact, sulfur reducing bacteria, as part of their synthesis, they will emit, as a byproduct, nanoparticles into the water.

And this is produced by bacteria who are actually making more sulfuric acid, and living at pHs right around zero.

And along comes pneumococcus or another bacteria, streptococcus and boom, they get a bacterial pneumonia.

They either pop the bacterial membrane, they make the bacterium so it can't replicate its DNA.
