The project has two parts the development of a UNDCP training guide for boarding officers and the development of model legislation.

Partners of the Model Forest Network include the Governments of Canada, Argentina, Chile and the Dominican Republic, the International Model Forest Network secretariat and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
