Its emergency response and preparedness framework consisted of comprehensive food security and vulnerability analysis a food security monitoring system early warning and contingency planning emergency food security assessment and response planning.

Food and nutritional security (SAN) has been a priority of this Government, whose main achievement to date has been the creation of a lead agency, the Presidential Secretariat for Food and Nutritional Security (SESAN), under the legislation establishing the National Food and Nutrition Security System (SINASAN).

In order to improve food security, especially in some developing countries that remain food insecure, there is a need to significantly increase food supply and improve food distribution through more sustainable agricultural systems.
