E. Contractual services

The models used are a Model for the Assessment and Remediation of Sediment ( MARS ) and an Oil Spill Contingency and Response Model ( OSCAR ).

(a) Service to the COP and its subsidiary bodies.

The terms of service of lead reviewers for a given period of service shall be designed and operationalized in accordance with relevant decisions of the COP and the COP MOP.

The contingency is also based on the assumption that sessions of the COP, COP MOP and subsidiary bodies would be accommodated within the conference services envelope of services and costs prevailing in past years.

UNOPS would continue to offer both complex operations management implementation services and individual service lines, for example recruitment and administration of human resources, contracting and procurement services, project supervision and loan administration, and conference management services.

Some 15 social services staff took part in the course.

However, the Committee notes that, as recognized by the State party, the social services are under a tremendous resource strain, in particular the health service.

Consulting services now include project management, UNIX administration in Geneva, system administration in New York and help desk services.

The Executive Secretary of the UNFCCC shall arrange for the provision of staff and services required for the servicing of the Executive Board from within available resources.

The Board would be located in New York and secretariat services would be arranged for it by the United Nations Office of Legal Affairs.

1. The Secretary General of the United Nations shall provide the necessary secretariat services to the Conference of the Parties to the Convention.

The Crime Conventions Section of the Treaty and Legal Affairs Branch of the Division for Treaty Affairs will provide technical and substantive services to the Conference of Parties to the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime and the Conference of States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption.

The informal interactive hearings and the panel discussions would be serviced from within the conference servicing entitlements of the Assembly hence, the meeting servicing, interpretation requirements and 16 pages of post session documentation of the hearings, estimated at 53,200, and the meeting servicing and interpretation requirements of the panel discussions, estimated at 21,900, would be absorbed within the provisions proposed under section 2 of the budget for the biennium 2006 2007.

The associated costs for meeting servicing, interpretation and post session documentation are estimated at 53,200, and costs for common support services are expected to be about 5,200.

The Conference also provided legal services and technical assistance for member States and States parties to the Conventions.

It is based on the 1996 statistics for conference servicing as provided by UNOG (the body presently charged with the Convention apos s conference servicing).
