The integrated budget reviews were carried out by technical review teams and programme and budget review committees.

The budgets for UNOPS projects are reviewed on a quarterly basis and budget revisions are effected accordingly.

The Statistical Commission will be requested to review the full set of recommendations for the SNA update in March 2007 and the final draft of the 1993 SNA, Rev.1, in March 2008.

At the next meeting of the Working Party in May June, the official fascicle of the UNCTAD section of the proposed programme budget would be made available to the Working Party for its consideration, and the outcome of the Working Party's deliberations would be brought directly to the attention of the central reviewing bodies, namely ACABQ and the General Assembly.

However, given the brief time that had elapsed since the adoption of those recommendations by the Assembly, it had not been possible to review them all and ensure that they were reflected in the revised budget.

The relevant financial regulations and rules should be amended accordingly, subject to prior review by ACABQ.

In the second segment, on programme planning, the Committee would, in off budget years, review the proposed strategic framework and present recommendations to the Assembly.

It was expected that the policy review would be undertaken by the Board at its next meeting, in 2006.

It is envisaged that the Working Group will use that submission as a basis for making recommendations for consideration by the eighth meeting of the Conference of the Parties, regarding the establishment of indicators.

The budget was before it for information only and the Committee did not engage in a detailed examination of it, since it is considered by the Management Committee.

It was observed that UNEP should develop its own indicators to be examined by the Governing Council and then submitted to the General Assembly for its consideration.

UNICEF management was to review the recommendation, with completion expected by the second quarter of 2005.

34. A fourth special session on disarmament is expected to provide a unique opportunity to review and reflect upon disarmament efforts.

Resubmission would thus occur at the forty first session of the Commission, after review by the Advisory Committee.

The Council also decided that the Commission should review its mandate, terms of reference and scope of work in order to develop its multi year programme of work and should review the frequency of its meetings in the light of its responsibility for the follow up to and review of the implementation of the Summit.

The Advisory Committee expects that the results of that review will be reported in the proposed budget for 2005 06.

The Board was specifically requested by Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions to examine the management of trust funds in the United Nations Environment Programme, and will report its findings to the General Assembly at its fifty third session.
