2.1.2. The term of office of members of the Congress and the provincial assemblies shall be five years.

Should the Conference hold more than one session, and unless the Conference decides otherwise, all officers shall serve for all sessions of the Conference.

The terms of office of the members of the provincial assemblies shall end on the date of those elections.

The Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Protocol shall elect five members for a term of two years and five members for a term of four years.

My tenure as President has coincidentally fallen within the period of the 2005 NPT Review Conference.

Their appointment or removal is decided by the Chief Executive. Their term of office shall not extend beyond the expiry of the term of office of the Chief Executive who appoints them.

The Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Protocol shall elect five members for a term of two years and five members for a term of four years. Each time thereafter, the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Protocol shall elect five new members for a term of four years.

The House of Assembly is elected for five year terms.

The Assembly also encouraged the specialized agencies to consider uniform terms and term limits for their executive heads.

The Administrator General shall be appointed for four years by the Ministerial Conference, acting as General Conference, on a proposal from the Secretary General.

I am now coming to the end of my term as President of the Conference on Disarmament.

It is therefore essential that the mandate of the Board be extended for another term by the Commission on Human Rights at its fifty third session.

An Arab Parliament is established for a term of five years, which term may be extended for a maximum of two further years, counted from the date of its first meeting, as a transitional step toward the establishment of a permanent Arab Parliament.

At the meeting at which the Committee is established, the Conference of the Parties shall elect half the members of the Committee for one term and half the members for two terms.

Total conference servicing requirements for the three year mandate will amount to 321,300 dollars.

The Committee had recommended that the General Assembly should renew its mandate for 2005.

The mandate of the sessional working group was extended for a period of three years by the Sub Commission in its resolution 2001 3.

The Commission also requested the working group to meet for a period of two weeks, or less if possible, prior to the fifty third session of the Commission to pursue its mandate, with a view to finalizing the draft optional protocol.

As the term of office for the present Bureau will end with the closure of the present meeting, the Conference will need to elect a new Bureau in accordance with rule 22 of the rules of procedure to serve from the end of the present meeting until the end of the next meeting of the Conference.

The Chair informed the meeting that each will serve for a term of one year, which may be renewed for another year.

The General Assembly will therefore be required, at its current session, to appoint a person to serve the remainder of the term of office, which expires on 31 December 1998.

Members are elected for five year terms.

At its twenty fifth session, the General Assembly renewed the mandate of the Special Committee (resolution 2727 (XXV)).

The interim Arab Parliament shall comprise four members for every State Member of the League of Arab States, and it shall function in accordance with the Statutes annexed to this resolution

He was twice elected member of Parliament and served for five years.

The mandate of the National Assembly will expire on 16 December 2005.

106. The new Congress may censure the Council of Ministers or deny it a motion of confidence after the President of the Council has reported to Congress on the Executivels acts during the parliamentary apos interregnum.

The term of service of a member, or an alternate member, shall start at the first meeting of the Executive Board in the calendar year following his her election and shall end immediately before the first meeting of the Executive Board in the calendar year in which the term ends.

The report of the session as of the end of plenary on Friday afternoon will be approved, with any amendments the Committee may wish to make, in plenary on Saturday.

The mandate of the sessional working group was extended for a period of three years by the Sub Commission in its resolution 2001 3, and for a further three years in its resolution 2004 16 (see also paragraphs 56 and 57 below).

They are elected for a one year term by the plenary of the Legislative Assembly and cannot be re elected.

The report of the meeting as of the end of plenary on Thursday afternoon will be approved with any amendments in plenary on Friday.

7. The Fifth Committee also recommends that the General Assembly appoint the following persons as members of the Committee on Contributions for a term of office as indicated below

The Ombudsman is elected by the Parliament apos s Chamber of Representatives for a term of eight years.

In the case of the Chairman of the Second Committee, for example, Ambassador Oscar de Rojas served on the Secretary General s Board while Chairman during the fifty second session of the General Assembly the current Chairman is Ambassador Bagher Asadi, who will therefore serve on the Board until the completion of his term as Chairman of the Committee during the fifty third session of the Assembly.

(ii) Current challenges and forward looking strategies for the advancement and empowerment of women and girls.

Views were also expressed that in order to better reflect the Committee's mandates, the session should meet for two weeks during budget years and for four weeks during non budget years.

They also considered the draft resolution on the extension of the mandate of the Force.

Any item of the agenda of an ordinary session, consideration of which has not been completed at the session, shall be included automatically in the agenda of the next ordinary session, unless otherwise decided by the Conference of the Parties.

The bureau of the review conference would be reconstituted as a standing bureau, the members of which would be elected at the review conference and would serve until the next quinquennial review conference.
