The chief will be responsible for risk control of the Fund's investments as a whole in terms of portfolio risk, operational risk and compliance risk, and will plan and perform the oversight of performance measurement, investment risk analysis and operational risk analysis, including risk arising from sub adviser and service provider relationships.

These other risk management departments shall take charge of identifying and evaluating various kinds of risks, including their own compliance risks, and reporting the related compliance risk information to the compliance department, and shall, with cooperation with the compliance department, monitor and evaluate compliance risk.

Monitoring risks is also a major component of the responsibilities of the Chief.

Clearly, the insured risks were a small part of the total risk. Moreover, much of that risk, even if insured, continues to be borne in Japan, rather than being spread effectively to foreign investors, so Japan is still alone in bearing the costs.

Inevitably, any entity must accept that some damage will occur at some point and must choose to transfer some risk using insurance, thus securing a source of financial compensation for part of the loss.

Internal control and risk management

All departments and branch offices shall voluntarily carry out self inspections on compliance as a routine task, report compliance risk information or potential risks to the compliance department or the compliance posts, and support and cooperate with the compliance department or the compliance posts in risk monitoring and evaluation.

The more risks are reduced, the easier to transfer some portion of the remaining risk from affected populations to insurers or investors through a variety of financial mechanisms that have been developed specifically for this purpose.

The Office of Internal Oversight Services believes that the combination of these lines could make the risk package more attractive to underwriters, since the exposures would be spread across a wider spectrum of locations and risk profiles.

As part of its risk based approach to planning its audit coverage of the Pension Fund, OIOS has contracted a major international accounting firm to conduct an enterprise wide risk assessment to identify and categorize risks in order to focus internal audit activities for 2006 and 2007.

The Company shall also make brief analysis on the preparation and use of risk reserves (including general risk reserves and special purpose risk reserves) during the current period.

Human resource development.

The utilisation of the subterranean depth of the owned land or the land at person's disposal for private purposes is free of charge.

Although the threat from illegal militias in the west will remain low, relative to most of Afghanistan, these forces continue to pose the second greatest risk to the regional security, behind drug related and criminal threats.

14. It appears that the function of risk management has been haphazardly de centralized across the Organization, despite the existence of a centralized focal point for insurance policy matters at United Nations Headquarters.

In order to reduce disaster risks, countries and communities must first identify risk factors, decide what level of risk is acceptable, and then take steps to reduce risks or transfer them away from affected areas.

A fundamental principle of financial theory diversification or risk spreading implies that interest in the new contracts will be high. People and businesses in New York, for example, are overexposed to their local real estate risks, so they should reduce this risk by selling New York home price futures.

The engagement of the insurance industry is essential as risk insurance could be a passive option for financing these technologies that redistributes the risks between different actors.

Such capital subsidies would assure prospective investors that Governments were prepared to bear a portion of the risk.

Article 19 A cooperation mechanism between the compliance department and other risk management departments shall be established by an insurance company.
