(d) No indemnity payments shall be made to

While on maternity leave, the employee has the right to compensation of salary.

A monetary compensation of the vacation shall not be allowed, except cases when an employee who has not used her his vacation, is released.

Staff members whose appointments are terminated shall be paid an indemnity in accordance with the following provisions

A monetary compensation for a paid annual vacation is not permissible except cases when employment relations are terminated and the employee has not used her his paid annual vacation.

Compensation for industrial injuries and ill health are covered by the Worker Compensation Act applying to those workers that fall outside the scope of the Provincial Employees Social Security Ordinance, 1965.

For employees in private enterprises the person who has been unlawfully dismissed may be granted compensation in special cases when reinstatement is considered impossible.

(c) A staff member whose appointment is terminated for unsatisfactory service or who for disciplinary reasons is dismissed for misconduct other than by summary dismissal may be paid, at the discretion of the Secretary General, an indemnity not exceeding one half of the indemnity provided under paragraph (a) of the present annex

The Labour Law guaranteed equal pay for equal work or work of equal value and the right to seek full remuneration or bring a court action within a one month period for violations by employers.

It covers compensation for injuries inflicted from, and in the course of employment of a worker.

Subsequently, in October 1995, the United Kingdom informed the United Nations that it would stop payments of termination benefits unless an agreement was reached with the United Nations for reimbursement of the totality of the termination benefits.

Payments of termination indemnity shall be made by the Secretary General in accordance with the rates and conditions specified in annex III to the present Regulations

As part of the biennial support budget for 2004 2005, the Executive Board approved a specific allocation of 14 million for security related provisions.

Employers, who hire men or women employees on a fixed term contract, in order to substitute employees absent from work on pregnancy or confinement leave for as long as that leave lasts, receive a subsidy equal to their insurance contribution towards the social insurance of the newly employed.

Employers can increase normal hours of work so as to recover hours lost through collective interruptions of work.

The applicant or employee should not be required to disclose his or her HIV status to the employer nor in connection with his or her access to workers apos compensation, pension benefits and health insurance schemes.

Employees and persons applying for employment, whom the employer has discriminated against, have the right to demand compensation for pecuniary and non pecuniary damage.

However, with effect from 16 June 1993, all terminal benefit costs for United Nations locally employed civilians fall to the United Nations and all terminal benefit costs for United Kingdom locally employed civilians fall to the United Kingdom.

Moreover, the Agency was unable to undertake certain planned activities and could not fund the provision for termination indemnities, although the indemnities represented a contingent liability on the Agency. (See also paras. 26, 39 and 56.)

6. If the staff member is summarily dismissed, he she loses the termination indemnity and repatriation grant, which would have otherwise accrued to his her benefit upon separation.

The termination indemnity is not an entitlement for staff at the Tribunals.

Compensatory programmes

118 2001, under which two kinds of payments are not considered to be remuneration as defined by the Proclamation, namely (a) payments as reimbursement for special expenses incurred by the employee in the course of his or her employment and (b) compensation for service and other compensation payments received because of termination of a contract of employment.

6. Remedies, compensation and restitution

(a) Except as provided in paragraphs (b), (c) and (e) below and in regulation 9.3 (b), the termination indemnity shall be paid in accordance with the following schedule

Wherever the obligation to pay compensation is legally valid, it shall be proper for there to be a compensation payment.

2.1 The author filed a workers compensation claim with the Deputy Commissioner of Worker's Compensation, for redress in respect of injuries he had suffered.

Workers hired by Israeli employers enjoy no job security whatsoever they can be dismissed without the right to protest, they are paid no compensation, and many do not even receive their wages, despite repeated requests to that effect.

Once the decision to terminate the locally employed civilians was conveyed to the United Kingdom, it began paying termination benefits to them according to the Civilian Establishment and Pay Office s agreements with the them.

Personal income compensation due to accidents at work or professional related diseases is calculated and paid from their own resources by the legal or physical person who is the employer of the insured person.

Termination indemnity, death benefits and repatriation grant will be implemented with the end of service personnel action which is scheduled for migration with Release 4.

The unemployment rate has been reduced thanks to innovative measures such as microcredits, the promotion of entrepreneurship, labour intensive work of public utility, pre employment contracts, local salaried employee initiatives and compensation for activities of general benefit.
