A rate of return slightly above unity is expected on these projects.

Projected income for the biennium 1996 1997

The total number of posts will increase in 2006 by 14, from 216 to 230.

Projected income is at a higher level than in the previous biennium, since investment returns are predicted to be more favourable than in 2004 2005.

Total Profits

Revenue is projected to amount to 300 million for 2005.

In the 2006 2007 budget, expected revenue 2.5 trillion shillings.

Including projected secondary income, further 1998 income was projected at 213.6 million.

It is anticipated that additional funds will be received in 2005 and 2006.

For the purposes of planning and budgeting for the future, regular resources income for 2006 2007 is projected to increase to 1.7 billion, which is an increase of 18 per cent over planned income for 2004 2005 or 6 per cent over the revised 2004 2005 income projection.

The total estimated income for 2006 2007 is estimated at 71.2 million, representing an increase of 0.9 million in income compared to 2004 2005 support budget.

It is anticipated that additional other resources will be received in 2005 2006.

Based on the income earned under this heading in 2004 and anticipated for 2005, estimates of 1,464,600 under the regular budget and 315,200 in the operational budget are considered reasonable for 2006 2007.

Total 1996 1997 revised budget appropriation less total

This income is expected to remain around 6 per cent of net proceeds.

The budgets do not indicate actual revenues received, which have generally turned out to be far less.

For example, for the 2007 meeting of the Conference of the Parties, the column headings for the table would be Party scale of assessment adopted for 2006 and 2007 budget years expected contribution for 2006 actual contributions received for 2006 expected contributions for 2007 contributions received to date for 2007 scale of assessments for 2008 and 2009 budget years expected contributions for 2008 and expected contributions for 2009.

Thereafter, with good revenue returns on a lower fixed cost base, annual income from ongoing operations is expected to rise, generating an increasingly solid end year fund balance, projected to increase to 17.79 million in 2007 and 27.35 million in 2008.

Gross proceeds are recorded in local currency based on current year deliveries.

These costs have been estimated at between 14,000 and 42,000 per worker and family (shared equally by migrants and host governments). The global net benefit of the increased flow of migrants for 25 years is between 13 trillion and 39 trillion close to the median estimated gains from the Doha round.

In addition, for 2006, 250.0 million of other resources income is projected.

The expected time span of collecting data will be at least 4 years.

Income and expenditure projections

Estimated income and adjustments to the support budget for 2006 2007 amount to 12.6 million, as compared to 14.6 million estimated income for 2004 2005.

Under the above 2005 plan and budget estimates, the 2005 year end net income from operations is 2.91 million.

Revenues for 1996 97 were forecast at 38.9 million, while expenditures were estimated at 36.6 million.

The total income of the Fund for the biennium 1998 1999 is estimated at 116.4 million, resulting in an expected shortfall of income over expenditure of 32.3 million.

The revised projection of cash income of 252 million for 1998 represented an increase of 16 million from the projection made at the end of the first quarter of the year.

Estimated income and adjustments to the 2006 2007 biennial support budget amount to 190.0 million, including 161.0 from recovery charges, as compared to estimated income to the 2004 2005 biennial support budget of 156.4 million (including income from recovery charges of 129.6 million).

Estimated income to the budget

The projected income is estimated at 470.7 million, an increase of 20.5 million over the revised income estimates of 450.2 million for the biennium.

The company is expected to commence full operations late in 2005, which should boost foreign exchange earnings and provide employment to some 900 workers.

As at the end of June 1998, cash expenditure in the regular programme in 1998 was expected to be 253 million, compared with expected cash income in 1998 of some 252 million.

The income projection for 2006 2007 shown in table 13 anticipates a 15 per cent increase for regular resources over two years the projected increase in regular resources contributions is based on a number of factors, including

IS2.4 The estimate of 469,700, reflecting a decrease of 9,600 over the 2004 2005 estimates, is projected for the sale of used equipment on the basis of income earned in 2004.

In 2004, pledge donations generated 162.0 million, or 25 per cent of fund raising proceeds, and are projected to increase by more than 40 per cent, becoming 30 per cent of the total income by 2009.
