The position of risk manager, according to one generic job description provided by industry sources, includes responsibility for supervising corporate policy in risk retention and management, fire protection, security and personnel safety.

49. While the very nature of demining makes it inherently risky, the Office of Internal Oversight Services is also concerned that an overall risk assessment was not conducted by the Insurance Section, the broker or the underwriter.

44. The Office of Internal Oversight Services has three main concerns with this policy the absence of a risk assessment, the static level of the premiums and the lack of an overall policy protocol for demining insurance coverage.
