The Forum consisted of dialogues among partners on urban culture, urban realities, urban governance and urban renaissance, as well as thematic discussions on urban poverty, urban resources, urban sustainability, urban services, and urban disasters and reconstruction.

The Sustainable Cities Programme organized many city level consultations with all stakeholders, as a result of which action programmes have been launched on both land and infrastructure issues in a number of cities.

There were three plenary meetings, partners' dialogues on urban culture, urban realities, urban governance and urban renaissance, as well as thematic dialogues on urban poor, urban resources, urban sustainability, urban services and urban disasters and reconstruction.

At the local level, the Hungarians had more than 100 mayors, 3 of them running major cities.

Baoji has won more than 20 national honors such as the National Civilized City, the National Ecological Garden City and the China Habitat Environment Award.

While there is only so much land in any one of the existing superstar cities, in every case, there are vast amounts of land where a new city could be started. And new cities are started, taking away from the uniqueness of existing cities.
