And when We read it, follow thou the reading

And when We have recited it, follow its recitation.

When We recite it, follow its recitation.

So when We have recited it through Gabriel , then follow its recitation.

Therefore when We have recited it, follow its recitation.

But when We have promulgated it, follow thou its recital (as promulgated)

And then there was the language, the rhythmic cadence of it, reminding me of evenings spent listening to Bedouin elders recite hours long narrative poems entirely from memory.

And by oath of the groups that read the Qur an.

and the reciters of a Remembrance,

By the angels reciting the praise.
