The Messy Politics of Economic Divergence

One linear, one cyclical.

That's a cyclical process.

Economic historians call this The Great Divergence.

Not a big divergence in terms of uniform design for border guards admittedly, but in almost every other respect, it's a huge divergence.

In other cultures, time is cyclical.
