3. Three sorties were flown by United States military combat aircraft and bombers at altitudes of 6,000 to 9,000 metres and speeds of 600 to 900 kilometres per hour. TR 1 reconnaissance aircraft made sorties at an altitude of 20,000 metres and at a speed of 600 kilometres per hour.

This is, in part, illustrated by the large number of sorties flown by our aircraft in Iraq carrying these weapons, where no releases were made.

5. Between 0810 and 0839 hours on 21 August 1997 Turkish fighter aircraft violated the airspace of the Republic of Iraq with two sorties. The violations were centred on the Amadiyah area.

11. Between 1240 and 1602 hours on 1 September 1997 Turkish fighter aircraft violated the airspace of the Republic of Iraq with two sorties. The violations were centred on the Zakho district.

12. Between 1535 and 1608 hours on 2 September 1997 Turkish fighter aircraft violated the airspace of the Republic of Iraq with two sorties. The violations were centred on the Zakho area.

Pakistan has sent 12 relief sorties of C 130 aircraft to Sri Lanka and Indonesia, and the Pakistan navy has dispatched three helicopters, an expeditionary force, a medical team and engineering support equipment to those countries.

9. Between 0930 and 1654 hours on 26 August 1997 Turkish fighter aircraft violated the airspace of the Republic of Iraq with five sorties. The violations were centred on the Amadiyah, Zakho, Sharanish and Baibo areas.

In order to provide the necessary logistic support to the operation, 59 sea lift missions were performed, covering 3,193 nautical miles, with 3,722 navigation hours 943 air lift sorties were performed with 1,311 flying hours. III. CONCLUSIONS

2. SFOR continued to conduct surveillance and reconnaissance by means of ground and air patrols. Over the reporting period 2,950 sorties were flown by combat aircraft, with the SFOR helicopter fleet flying a total of 102 hours.

27. Between 1028 and 1735 hours on 6 October 1997 Turkish fighter aircraft violated the airspace of the Republic of Iraq with 10 sorties. The violations were centred on the Amadiyah, Baibo, Aqrah, Shaykhan and Batufah areas.

36. Between 1025 and 1830 hours on 16 October 1997 Turkish fighter aircraft violated the airspace of the Republic of Iraq with four sorties. The violations were centred on the Amadiyah, Baibo, Rawanduz, Aqrah and Koysanjaq areas.

2. Over the reporting period, SFOR continued to conduct surveillance and reconnaissance by means of ground and air patrols. A total of 2,550 sorties were flown by combat aircraft, with the SFOR helicopter fleet flying 99 hours.

34. Between 1527 and 1645 hours on 14 October 1997 Turkish fighter aircraft violated the airspace of the Republic of Iraq with four sorties. The violations were centred on the Rawanduz, Koysanjaq, Amadiyah, Baibo and Irbil East areas.

1. In the northern region 32 sorties were flown at speeds of 600 to 900 kilometres per hour and at altitudes of 6,000 to 9,000 metres, over the following cities and towns Dohuk, Mosul, Amadiyah, Aqrah and Zakho.
