Distillation bridge

One means of separating a mixture is to use distillation. In this setting, a distillation bridge acts as a conduit between the two pots. One pot contains the mixture to be separated, and through heating, a gas forms which is lead through the bridge. At the end of the bridge the gas phase is condensed and drips into a round flask. Typically, the bridge is cooled by return flow. Also, there is often a thermometer for controlling the temperature of the distillation bridge.

The timetable is a tight one, but, with the goodwill of Member States, there is sufficient time for a proper distillation of views.

These included the confessional meetings conducted by the two Co Vice Chairmen from January to March 1997, the so called complete picture presented by the then President of the General Assembly in his capacity as the Chairman of the Working Group on 20 March 1997 and the presentation of the distillation of views by the co Vice Chairmen in May 1997.
