The project consisted of 18 earth stations at different locations to provide connection through satellite.

The main priorities set in connection with the monitoring of the Earth apos s natural environment are as follows

Comprehensive study of the Earth's magnetosphere and of the connection between the processes occurring in the Sun and in the near Earth plasma and the processes on Earth is continuing.

In this connection, a concept known as the European Earth Observation System (EEOS) has been developed, with the aim of improving the utilization of Earth observation data via joint European activity.
