The participants had before them a draft agenda, a draft programme of work and documents prepared by participating experts (documentation made available for the workshop is listed in annex II).

Recent seminars were organized in Prague (1993), in Sofia (1994) and in Warsaw (1995).

Seminars and symposia

In February 2005, OHCHR organized the second expert seminar on the interdependence between democracy and human rights, with a focus on the rule of law in accordance with Commission resolution 2003 36.

Over 600 persons attended those symposia.
