Pursuant to this Act the agent responsible for the initial marketing (producer, importer) is required to verify that his goods conform to the relevant legal specifications and regulations.

The prices of tropical agricultural products had also fallen against those of temperate agricultural products, and the prices of generic manufactures from developing countries had declined against the prices of manufactures associated with strong intellectual property rights, which basically preserved technological monopolies.

286. The evolution of the consumer prices of basic products is subject to specific monitoring.

Meanwhile, free trade negotiations seem to ignore historical trends. 33. Among the perennial problems facing producers of commodities is the excessive instability of the prices of many commodities.
