Specific issues of concern to the Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues

NGO Forum

In its recommendations, the Africa Latin America Forum on the same theme also called for concrete measures for implementing the Convention based on exchanges of experience arising from the work of the Forum.

At its first plenary meeting, the Forum adopted the following agenda for its second session

Norway also intended to strengthen its cooperation with regional organizations such as the Southern African Development Community (SADC), the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the South Pacific Forum.

Such a forum would provide a platform for the direct participation of population groups which had traditionally suffered discrimination.

Forums address global concerns related to senior citizen issues and the welfare of all peoples.

Chile firmly believes that the interests of collective security are pre eminent, and therefore actively participates in the relevant international forums.

To be more specific, I do see a number of major challenges that this important forum is facing these days.

The Government of Ecuador calls upon this forum to address the problem of migrants in terms of equality for all nationals.

The ASEAN Regional Forum has steadfastly undertaken concrete measures to enhance regional security through various initiatives.

In Haiti, HIV AIDS education will be incorporated into support groups and forums for survivors of rape.
