160. Maternity benefits include first of all the maternity allowance and the confinement benefit.

The most important of them are the social insurance benefits for workers maternity leave and allowance, confinement allowance, child care leave and allowance, care leave and allowance.

Women are entitled to maternity insurance, which includes a hospitalization grant, a maternity grant, a birth allowance and a maternity leave allowance.

This resulted in lower requirements for recreational leave allowance.

311. For individual farmers the rate of the maternity allowance (from 1 January 1991) is equal to eight weeks apos sickness allowance (the sickness allowance is payable at the rate of one thirtieth of the basic old age pension for every day of incapacity for work).

The care allowance is payable at the rate of 100 per cent of remuneration received in the period preceding the care leave.

The state's family benefits are childbirth allowance, child allowance, child care allowance, single parent's child allowance, conscript's child allowance, school allowance, foster care allowance, start in independent life allowance, allowance for families with three or more children and families raising triplets, and adoption allowance.

It is payable at the rate of 100 per cent of remuneration for women workers, and for other groups of insured persons, at the rate of 100 per cent of the amount on which social insurance contribution was paid.

221. The amount of the daily maternity allowance is equivalent to the average daily insured remunerations for the final four calendar months preceding the month in which the maternity allowance is first paid.

Additionally, provision of 99,200 is made for the recreational leave allowance at the standard rate of 10.50 per person per day for seven days for the first six months of service.

(ii) Mothers on maternity leave are entitled to parental benefit for six months.

These benefits include housing allowance, transport allowance medical allowance and social security benefits.

161. The maternity allowance is granted for a period of 16 weeks for the first confinement 18 weeks for each subsequent confinement 26 weeks where a woman is delivered of more than one child in any given confinement.

The training allowance is payable at the rate of 115 per cent of the unemployment allowance.

At the same time, there have been no decreases in the comparator's leave, allowance and benefit systems.

Sickness and maternity benefits are also partly funded through employer contributions.

238. The Commission considered the following travel related issues during the 1998 review supplements to the daily subsistence allowance (DSA), an expense based DSA system, DSA rates for extended stays (after 30 to 60 days) and travel on home leave and family visits.

The general family allowance, the special child allowance and the multiple birth allowance are payable automatically without application, but application must be made for ordinary and extra child allowances and adoption allowance.

The Act of 17 December 1974 concerning cash social insurance benefits in respect of sickness and maternity (uniform text Dziennik Ustaw of 1983 No. 30, Text 143, with amendments) is the basic legal act regulating sickness allowances. It is called the Allowance Law.

In connection with parental leave it is possible for the municipal authorities to supplement the allowance paid to parents on leave by an amount of up to DKr 35,000 per year.

Unlike the daily subsistence allowance which was a subsistence allowance for business travellers, mission subsistence allowance represented the total contribution of the Organization towards the living expenses of mission staff it was paid in lieu of post adjustment, mobility and hardship allowance and assignment grant.

(h) Children's and secondary dependant's allowances review of the level.

Unutilized resources of 445,300 occurred owing in part to the non payment of mission subsistence allowance to military observers in respect of days for which they did not accrue mission subsistence allowance paid leave or compensatory time off.

Parents are permitted to make their own decision as to how they will divide up the last 10 weeks of the time they receive maternity benefit (parental leave).

Maternity leave does not entail loss of former employment, seniority or social allowances.

The following entitlements are calculated by the system gross salary, staff assessment, dependency allowance, adjusted dependency allowance, post adjustment, hardship, mobility and non removal elements of the mobility and hardship allowance, pension contribution, language allowance, recruitment allowance, salary differential and non resident s allowance.

In Kazakhstan, family benefits are paid in the form of targeted social assistance, childbirth allowance, special State allowances and housing allowances.

A parent on parental leave can receive parental benefit until the child is 11 months old, after that the parent will receive child care allowance until the child is 3 years old.
