The present report provides a summary of the status of the global and regional programmes. The Statistical Commission is invited to take note of the progress made to date.

State of the Antarctic environment report

To this end, the Global Report will give an up to date picture of the global crime situation, with particular emphasis on the changing nature of criminality and of the unique and diverse approaches to combating and preventing crime.

The forces of globalization have aggravated that situation.

The Commission commended the Board on the report, noting that the report provided a comprehensive overview of the current status of precursor control worldwide.

The report is being submitted to the Governing Council Global Ministerial Environment Forum at its ninth special session to update the Council Forum on current developments in the global environmental situation and on the various activities and processes being undertaken to keep the state of the global environment under review and to facilitate informed discussion and action.
