Recommendations and suggestions on the rights of the child.

Regarding recommendation (b), if we have a roster then it should be simple and easy to use so that training would not be necessary.

Here, I would mention recommendations 1 and 2, on tracing recommendation 6, on the links between the illicit trafficking in weapons and the illegal exploitation of resources recommendation 9, on the export and transfer of small arms and recommendation 12, on transparency in armaments.

It was suggested to delete the reference to non proliferation, as well as to nuclear threats.

26. The Secretary General supports the proposal and believes that its implementation will contribute to the realization of his reform proposals regarding common premises.

The Committee has adopted a general recommendation on article 3 of the Convention and has given consideration to proposed general recommendations on article 5, and on the relevance to the Convention of the right of self determination.

We support the proposal to establish a Peacebuilding Support Office.
