(b) Reduction of CO2 emissions from newly registered cars

The use of wood products in place of materials that are associated with the release of large volumes of carbon dioxide could lead to significant net reductions in carbon dioxide emissions.

Many noted that measures to mitigate CO2 or CH4 emissions in energy and agriculture would also reduce N2O emissions.

Less firewood is consumed, but carbon dioxide emissions have increased.

(b) The introduction of an incentive tax on CO2

This is mainly caused by a steep decrease in the emissions of CFCs, primarily from refrigeration plants (from 1.6 Gt CO2 eq to 0.3 Gt CO2 eq), responding to the requirements of the Montreal Protocol.

Cars and trucks add up to about 25 percent of the world's CO2 emissions.

(i) Reduce emissions of nitrous oxide.

They indicate that CO2 emissions are projected to decrease by 33 per cent, CO by 40 per cent, NOx by 8 per cent and NMVOC by 27 per cent.

One of the developments that is expected to result in appreciable reductions in CO2 and NOx emissions is the wider penetration of natural gas as an energy source for households.

Hungary is committed to stabilizing national emissions of CO2, and the communication also made a reference in the preface to the commitment to stabilize greenhouse gas emissions.

HFC emissions could reach as much as 20 25 per cent of CO2 emissions over the period 2015 2100.

Emissions of methane could be slightly reduced, while those of nitrous oxide could increase.

(a) Reduce its 1990 level of anthropogenic emissions of CO2 by at least 20 per cent by 2005 and

CO2 represented 82 per cent of 1990 emissions, methane (CH4) about 8 per cent and nitrous oxide (N2O) about 10 per cent.

That's 10 percent of the CO2 emissions across their entire country.

That's about as much CO2 as there is in the whole world.

Industry is responsible for 43 per cent of global carbon dioxide emissions from fossil fuel.9

As figure 2 illustrates, type (iii) projects shall not exceed total direct emissions of 15 kilotonnes (kt) of carbon dioxide (CO2) equivalent annually, and must reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
