Multi stakeholder dialogue

A dialogue of two day duration is necessary to accommodate the active participation of all Member States and other stakeholders.

More space for multi stakeholder dialogue is also needed in the United Nations.

Participants particularly emphasized the crucial importance of multi stakeholder dialogue between Governments, companies and civil society.

In the first phase, WFP carried out a stakeholder perception survey and a series of dialogues with NGO partners.

There is a lack of institutional mechanisms to facilitate dialogue between government and other stakeholders in civil society.

And stakeholders with specific trade offs will try to influence the decision.

It has been suggested that the multi stakeholder dialogue of a session be focused on seeking multi stakeholder perspectives on the specific agenda items of that session.

Other stakeholders apos participation

The Security Council recognizes the positive role played by local stakeholders and encourages dialogue between the United Nations and relevant national actors.

Periodic and comprehensive surveys of stakeholders should be conducted.

These include multilateral agencies, civil society, national stakeholders and the donor community.

C. Civil society and other stakeholders

Policy dialogue could be enabled by multistakeholder round table processes, and awareness and capacity building.

Such opportunities for dialogue between the various stakeholders in social development could lead to tangible outcomes.

The contribution of all stakeholders is of the utmost importance.

To realize the multi stakeholder approach, it was essential that all relevant stakeholders participate in each of the consultations.

Many shareholders and stakeholders would be interested in information that would help them determine that management is running the enterprise with the best interest of all shareholders and stakeholders in mind and not to unduly benefit any related parties (see also section II.E.6 below on conflict of interest).

Major groups stress the value of the multi stakeholder dialogue in promoting cooperation and consensus.

Material issues regarding stakeholders, environmental and social stewardship

In order to address that concern, it was suggested that access to the registry be limited to quot any person having interest quot .

Due account will be given to sectoral and other needs assessments undertaken by all stakeholders.2 Involvement of all stakeholders, including the civil society and private sector, will be promoted.

Also decides that the duration of the High Level Dialogue will be two days and that it will consist of an innovative series of plenary and informal meetings to constitute a policy dialogue and interactive round tables with the participation of the relevant stakeholders. The Dialogue should be well prepared, including through appropriate intergovernmental consultations. The two days will consist of

Outreach to stakeholders is aimed at ensuring that all relevant information is channelled into the preparatory process and that these stakeholders effectively use the preparation of the study to advance towards the achievement of its goals.

Through extensive consultation and collaboration, stakeholders are increasingly involved in the planning of multi stakeholder dialogues and, through the processes of joint planning, have established strong cooperative relationships within the group.

Mechanisms for ensuring the engagement and participation of stakeholders across the affected countries are essential.

6. Calls upon the United Nations, in collaboration with other relevant organizations and agencies, to provide support for dialogue involving Governments and other relevant stakeholders on international migration and development issues

In particular, the codes emphasize the need for enterprises to address the interests of a range of stakeholders in order to promote the long term sustainability of the enterprise.

The mission encouraged its interlocutors to work closely and constructively with CIAT and other relevant international stakeholders in order to obtain every possible assistance needed to address this important issue.

11. Encourages Governments, the United Nations system and all other relevant stakeholders at all levels to support adequate preparations for the High Level Dialogue on financing for development

In this spirit, we encourage stakeholders to continue dialogue through a truly collaborative framework to improve the relevance, effectiveness and responsiveness of humanitarian action.

4. Agrees to hold the High Level Dialogue at the end of October 2003 on a specific date to be determined by the President of the General Assembly, after consultations with relevant stakeholders, so as to facilitate ministerial participation and the participation of heads of international financial and trade institutions and other relevant organizations

Through its continued participation in the work of the Commission, the Russian Federation intended to promote a constructive dialogue among all interested countries and also take a balanced account of the interests of all regional States.
