In keeping with the workshop's recommendation regarding data acquisition, the Secretary General convened a meeting with contractors in New York on 20 and 21 November 2003 to discuss additional grade and abundance data that could be made available by contractors, proxy data that they held and which they could make available for the project, and the extent of their participation in the development of the model.
