Hands on training workshop on vulnerability and adaptation assessments for the Africa region

Recently, the seminar on challenges and practical strategies of comprehensive sex education for the disabled was held in Beijing.

14. There was a general discussion about treaty practice in extradition.

It would not be practicable to do a study of on its application in practice.

The secretariat notes that additional financial resources are still needed to complete the remaining hands on training workshops outlined in the CGE work programme.

Update on the hands on training workshops and the development of training materials The CGE conducted hands on training workshops on GHG inventories for the Latin America and the Caribbean region (Panama City, Panama, 25 29 October 2004) and the Asia region (Shanghai, China, 8 12 February 2005), and on V and A assessments for the Africa region (Maputo, Mozambique, 18 22 April 2005), involving 120 national experts from 78 developing countries.

He urged participants to relay its message to their Governments in order to ensure that its recommendations were put into effect.

The CGE played an important role throughout the development and implementation of the training workshops, including by providing guidance on the development of training materials.

She expressed satisfaction with the evaluation of courses on key issues of the international economic agenda, since her country, having recently hosted a regional seminar, knew the theoretical and practical insights the programme had given to participating trainees.

It was to be hoped that the Commission would pay equal attention to developed and developing countries, so that the results of its study would be representative of practice in a wide variety of countries.

Participants in the seminar had concluded that multicultural education involved educational policies and practices which met the separate educational needs of groups in society which belonged to different cultural traditions, while intercultural education involved educational policies and practices by which the members of different cultures, whether in a majority or minority position, learned to interact constructively with each other.
