44. The minimum wage is periodically adjusted through decrees of the Council of Ministers.

The Minister has the authority to refer back wages board decisions for reconsideration.

At the conclusion of its work, the committee is expected to submit a report to the Council of Ministers.

The Committee expresses its appreciation to the Government of Croatia for its high level delegation, headed by the Deputy Minister for Labour and Social Welfare.

The Minister of Labour and Social Policy exercises overall supervision of National Labour Office activity.

Where it appears to the Minister that a wages board cannot be established for any trade for special reasons, the Minister can authorize the Commissioner of Labour to determine minimum wage rates for workers in that trade.

Working relations are ongoing through CAMRE.

The Minister can nominate members to a wages board, not exceeding three in number.

A Minister heads the Federal Ministry of Education.

Other occupations may be additionally included among these exceptions by a decision of the Minister of Social Affairs and Labour.

Although agriculture added only 50 jobs, this was a 17.2 per cent gain for this tiny sector and the first gain after two years of job losses.

58. After considering the draft text, the Ministers adopted this report, which approves the work of the tenth ministerial meeting of the United Nations Standing Advisory Committee on Security Questions in Central Africa.

The Council of Ministers fixes the minimum wage having discussed it in tripartite cooperation with workers apos and employees apos trade unions and with the employers (art. 3 of the Labour Code).

This should be done in coordination with the ministers for foreign affairs of the Arab States, to whom a report should be submitted at their next meeting.

These meetings are held not only with the Minister of Information but also sometimes with the Minister for Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Oil and the Minister of Trade, etc.

The Secretary General, together with his Special Envoy, then met with the head of the Myanmar delegation to the General Assembly, U Tin Winn, then Minister in the Prime Minister's Office and Labour Minister, and the new Foreign Minister, U Nyan Win, to brief them on the outcomes of the high level meeting.

102. Once a wages board makes a decision on a minimum rate of wage, such decision must be approved by the Minister.

The law also gives women the right to equal pay with men for equal work and decisions determining the minimum wage are issued in every government at least annually by the Minister of Social Affairs and Labour, without discrimination between women and men, at the proposal of a competent committee comprising representatives of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour, the Ministry of Industry, employers and workers.
