The Working Time Act provides that the regular hours of work per working day must not exceed 8 hours.

19.2.1 Chapter 4, Sections 44 52 of the Labour Protection Act of 1998 sets regulations on the minimum age, working hours, types and places of work, and other conditions for the employment of young workers.

Increments salary increments within the levels shall be awarded annually on the basis of satisfactory service.

67. Amendments to the Labour Code of 1992 provide for the normal working day to be 8 hours in a 40 hour five day working week.

In 1996, the Group was advised that the time allotted for producing evidence had expired.

The productivity of translation staff in respect of the total of 9 million words translated between 1994 and 1998 is significantly higher than the required Untied Nations rate.

The length of working hours is regulated by Entity laws it is 40 hours a week.

5. A new rule 101.4, Hours of work and official holidays, will replace previous staff rules 101.2, Hours of work, and 101.3, Official holidays, to implement General Assembly resolution 52 214 of 22 December 1997 and decision 52 468 of 31 March 1998.

The Working Group tried in 1997 and 1998 to devise an attribution rule to accompany its prescription of a standard of reliability.

Regarding reduced working hours due to nursing and childcare as stated in Article 9 of the General National Collective Labour Agreement of the year 1993, the employee has the right to apply alternatively for equal time of adjoining paid leave, within the time period during which he she is entitled to reduced working time due to childcare.

A decree of 4 February 1937 was subsequently to rule that hours of work could be fixed at 48 per week, and must not exceed 9 hours per day.

Although there is no legislation that discriminates against women, generally speaking the exercise of women's rights is limited in practice.

Article 114 et seq. of the Employment Act regulate working hours and set the maximum for such hours, as well as the pay entitlement for hours of night and day work (art.121 of the Employment Act).

Article 132 of the Labour Law, in its turn, provides even shorter working hours for persons who have reached the age of 13, prescribing that they must not be employed for more than two hours per day and not more than 10 hours per week if work is performed during the study year and not more than four hours per day and not more than 20 hours per week if work is performed during holidays of educational institution.

Unlike the Labour Code of 1951 and its later version of 1986, followed by the amendments in 1992, the existing Labour Code sets out the rules on working time, rest and leaves only as minimum standards.

155. A weekly period of rest follows first of all from the general ban on Sunday work laid down in the Working Time Act.

Its provisions determine norms for hours of work and principles for introducing flexible work schedules that are binding in most establishments.

The Committee notes that 18 international staff were already converted into the local level category in the context of the budget for 1998.

It further confirms the principle of protection for working women, for whom the work day is set at a maximum of eight hours and the work week at a maximum of 48 hours.

In particular, the Convention provides for the regulation of working hours and compensation for overtime, daily and weekly rest periods, paid annual leave, regularly paid basic remuneration, and the prohibition of the sale and purchase of employment (E CN.17 1999 5 Add.2).

Exceptions may be made by the Secretary General as the needs of the service may require, and staff members shall be required to work beyond the normal tour of duty when requested to do so.

As concerns the person's right to breaks during working day, the Labour Law provides the right of each employee to a break during the working time if the length of the working time during the day exceeds six hours.

The Study Group set a tentative schedule for work to be carried out during the remaining part of the present quinquennium (2003 2006), distributed among members of the Study Group work on the other studies agreed upon in 2002, and decided upon the methodology to be adopted for that work.

This contract should stipulate, in any case, the number of hours to be worked, the number of leisure hours (minimum number of days off), the nature of the work, the weekly schedule, remuneration, and the period of notice.

The Factories Act, 1934 states in section 45 that No woman shall be allowed to work in a factory except between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.

There are three years to go before the deadline for completion by the two Tribunals of their first instance trials, as envisaged in their completion strategy. Three years is not a short period, and a great deal can be accomplished during that time.
