No further work was undertaken in the Working Group during the session.

The adoption of concluding observations under article 40 shall take place in closed meetings.

We are certain that the ongoing consultations, including on the issue of global socio economic development, will contribute to turning the report into a complete set of recommendations to the 2005 high level plenary meeting.

It was also proposed at this meeting that the Collaboration needed to focus more on the implementation of targeted actions.

The substantive proposals for future work by the Commission on Science and Technology for Development are intended to stimulate the discussion at the third session.

At its ninth session, the Commission on Enterprise, Business Facilitation and Development decided to convene an Expert Meeting on ICT and Tourism for Development.

The President of the Conference will no doubt carry on further consultations on the remaining items.

The separate meeting on Financing for Development will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. immediately following the adjournment of the opening plenary meeting.

As agreed by the Commission at its eighth session, the secretariat convened an Expert Meeting on Free and Open Source Software Policy and Development Implications.

Zambia would therefore like to see, during this session of the General Assembly, progress on the proposal to convene an international conference on the financing of development.
