Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide

(iii) Sanctions are imposed which are in proportion to the severity of the act and which are comparable to those for other violent crime

And the mighty Pharaoh

And with Firaun, who used to crucify.

and Pharaoh, he of the tent pegs,

And with Fir'awn, owner of the stakes

And (with) Fir'aun (Pharaoh), who had pegs (who used to torture men by binding them to pegs)?

And Pharaoh of the Stakes.

And with Pharaoh of the tent pegs

And with Pharaoh, firm of might,

and Pharaoh, the impaler

And Pharaoh, of the pegs (impaling his victims)?

And with Pharaoh, owner of the stakes?

(Also consider the people of) the Pharaoh who victimized people by placing them on the stake,

And (with) Firon, the lord of hosts,

and with Pharaoh of the stakes?

And with Pharaoh, lord of stakes?

The grip of your Lord is severe indeed!

Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe.

Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible.

Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe.

Verily, (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the Grip (Punishment) of your Lord is severe.

The onslaught of your Lord is severe.

Stern indeed is your Lord's punishment.

Lo! the punishment of thy Lord is stern.

Indeed your Lord s striking is severe.

Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe.

Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe.

The vengeance of God is terribly severe.

Surely the might of your Lord is great.

The grip of your Lord is indeed severe,

Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord.

You will soon come to know who suffers the punishment that would put him to shame, and who suffers lasting torment.

So now you will come to know upon whom comes the punishment that disgraces him, and upon whom descends the punishment that continues forever.

and you shall know to whom will come a chastisement degrading him, and upon whom there shall alight a lasting chastisement.'

So presently ye shall know on whom cometh a torment that humiliateth him, and on whom is let loose a torment lasting.

And you will know who it is on whom will come a torment that will cover him with disgrace and on whom will fall a lasting torment.

You will surely know upon whom will come a torment that will abase him, and upon whom will fall a lasting torment.

You will come to know who will be struck by a humiliating chastisement, and who will be subjected to an unceasing torment.

And ye shall know to whom a punishment that will confound him cometh, and upon whom a lasting doom will fall.

Soon you will know whom a disgraceful punishment will overtake and on whom a lasting punishment will descend.

You shall know to whom a degrading punishment will come, and upon whom an everlasting punishment will fall'

And you are going to know who will get a punishment that will disgrace him on earth and upon whom will descend an enduring punishment in the Hereafter .

You will soon learn who will face a humiliating punishment and will be encompassed by an everlasting torment.

So shall you know who it is on whom will come a chastisement which will disgrace him, and on whom will lasting chastisement come down.
