I have also loved, and fought... and suffered.

It is the most amazing experience, beyond most other things I've experienced in life.

We've all had a heartache.

The earthquake was the biggest one that we had ever experienced.

But I've read or heard or lived through all the tales men tell each other.

I've experienced it personally myself.

Worse things have happened to both of us.

She was desperate, and it occurred to me

Forget it. We've all been through it.

But we've weathered other things.

That's all right. I've been here before.

We've come through, haven't we?

My parents' generation went through the war.

It's just that we've been through so much.

Whether it was through settling down in agricultural communities, all the way through modern medicine, we have changed our own evolution.

I mean, we've all been through this.

I've just been out there. I've been and seen it.

So many of us have had a session in there.

We know that, right? We've experienced that.

Did you ever have one?

All of this has happened in my lifetime.

Mmhm. That's one of the reasons we're on a shoestring.

I don't think I've ever been through anything so confusing.

You'd think a woman with my experience would know more about men.

He's not a womanizer, a smooth talker on the prowl, but a man who has lived and suffered.

And I'm sure that many of you in this audience have that same story, and, by the way, I married a woman who has exactly the same story.
