His delegation also supported the expansion of the mandate of UNHCR which, under the leadership of the High Commissioner, was making every effort to assist refugees in various parts of the world.

We invite the Member States to support the enlargement of the mandate of the Office of Internal Oversight Services, so that it is able to respond to requests for assistance from the specialized agencies.

The Inspectors believe that expansion might also be possible in the areas of training, a common travel unit and conference services.
