Upper secondary education includes a baccalaureate level and technical vocational education.

Current educational system The Law On Education, currently in force, provides the following levels of education pre school education, primary education secondary education higher education.

Within the framework of the LIIS the education establishments in Latvia are equipped with information technologies, methodological materials are developed, teachers are trained, technologies installed, as well as programmes of higher education improved and long distance learning programmes implemented.
