One of the characteristics of the educational system in the Niger is that, the higher the level of education, the lower the female enrolment. This trend is even more pronounced in science studies.

In accordance with the Law On Education, minority educational programmes according to national standards of education are developed by educational establishments, using as the basis sample programmes of comprehensive education approved by the Ministry of Education and Science.
