Scope of the note Nineteen draft decisions have been recommended for adoption by the COP MOP at its first session, and are contained in the reports of COP 7, COP 8, COP 9 and COP 10.

It consolidates the texts of all draft decisions that have been recommended by the COP for adoption by the COP MOP at its first session.

(i) Adapting internationally agreed standards, norms and principles to regional, national and local contexts

As in previous bienniums, this section includes, among other things, (a) a brief statement of the overall objectives of the budget section at the programme level (b) the strategic directions and mandates of the programme (c) a brief summary of extrabudgetary resources (d) a summary table on estimated percentage distribution of the total resources of the programme between regular budget and extrabudgetary resources and (e) the estimated resource growth for the regular budget resources.

As a first step, the views of children and young people will be gathered and used to influence the design of the new country programme of cooperation.

B. Summary

45. A headquarters country Office annual compact will also define the actions needed to buttress regional programmes in the participating countries, as well as those required to enhance the links between regional and country programmes.

The format is not always fully consistent with the matrix, and outputs and key indicators included in the matrix are not systematically mentioned in the reports issued by the Section and the Department (e.g., the annual programme interim report).

Newly established programme and budget review committees review and approve at the regional level, within the overall resource envelope, the country programme management plan, including the country support budget, submitted by the country team, and submit them to headquarters for consolidation purposes only.

The compilation of tools to assist in decision making will be partially addressed in the context of the work programme on methodologies, specifically in the task to compile and synthesize information on tools related to adaptation (FCCC SB 1997 INF.2).

An intelligence officer therefore becomes a military information officer, intelligence summaries become military information summaries and so forth.
