The prospectus showed that before the A share issuance this time, the total equity of PICC was 42.424 billion shares. Assuming that the A shares were issued for 4.599 billion shares and did not exercise the option of excess allotment, after the A share issuance, the total equity of the Group would not exceed 47.023 billion shares, of which the A shares would not exceed 38.296 billion shares, and the H shares would not exceed 8.726 billion shares.

E. Unpaid assessments

e Represents unpaid assessed contributions.

The Secretariat should continue to make efforts to collect all outstanding dues, including those from former Member States.

The guns that are not handed over promptly shall be taken over by the public security organs.

The project company normally becomes the vehicle for raising the financial means required in addition to the equity contributed by the sponsors.

That would reduce the amount outstanding at the end of 2005 compared with the end of 2004.

For one thing, the amount of unpaid assessments had more than doubled in the reporting period.

It should be noted that the Department of Statistics defines foreign controlled companies as either wholly owned (100 per cent) or majority owned (at least 50 per cent of paid up shares).

B. Member States that have made no payments

104. The Committee also noted that three Member States still had outstanding non member State contributions that were assessed prior to their membership in the Organization.

Of even greater concern was the ratio of unpaid assessments to the current year apos s assessment.

Assessed contributions receivable from Member States have been outstanding for the periods indicated in table V.1 below.

Article 17 In case capital actually paid by the investors exceeds the registered capital (including stock premiums), an enterprise shall manage the surplus as capital reserve.

8. As at 31 December 1997, unpaid assessed contributions to the regular budget totalled 473.5 million, and for the international tribunals they totalled 14.6 million, resulting in a total of more than 488 million in assessed contributions unpaid at the end of the biennium.

Received contributions represent 75 per cent of the approved budget and outstanding contributions from prior periods.

The SBI may also wish to urge Parties that have not made their contributions to do so in a timely manner.

10. A second factor that can moderate the level of unpaid assessments is payment of arrears.

Outstanding assessed contributions to the two Tribunals amounted to 80 million and unpaid peacekeeping assessments amounted to 2,540 million.

It is the policy of the United Nations not to make provision for delays in collection of such assessments

The Large Taxpayers Unit simply consolidates the taxes paid by the volunteer self identified firms.

Indian equity participation is largely majority owned.

The detailed status of assessed contributions outstanding as at 31 March 2005 is contained in the annex to the present document.

Higher unpaid assessments for MONUC were offset by lower amounts outstanding for UNMIL. There was no significant change in the unpaid assessments for closed missions.

As at 31 May 2005, unpaid assessed contributions to the special account for UNOCI amounted to 95.8 million. The total outstanding assessed contributions for all peacekeeping operations at that date amounted to 2,028.0 million.
