It was Einstein's great general theory of relativity.

I'm thinking of Lorenz contractions and Einsteinian relativity.

Then Einstein, with his special theory of relativity, looked at a whole set of symmetries of Maxwell's equations, which are called special relativity.

And he was reading Einstein's recently published general theory of relativity, and he was thrilled by this theory.

Einstein Einstein.

This poet describes it as opening a door that floats in the sky a very similar description to what Albert Einstein gave as to how he imagined the forces of relativity, when he was struggling with trying to understand how it worked.

STOCKHOLM This year marks the centenary of Albert Einstein's general theory of relativity, his masterwork describing gravity as the curvature of space and time. Yet, as is often true in science, Einstein's insights have provided physicists with as many questions as they have answered.

Einstein could never have conceived of something like this.

This instrument will fly on NASA apos s Gravity Probe B (Relativity) Mission, which is designed to test important aspects of Einstein apos s Theory of General Relativity.

And we hope to be able to test some of Einstein's theories of general relativity, some ideas in cosmology about how galaxies form.
