Ask them Who gives you food and sustenance from the skies and the earth? Or, who is the lord of ear and eye? And who brings forth the living from the dead, the dead from the living? And who directs all affairs? They will say God. So tell them Why do you not fear Him?

Say, (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), Who provides you sustenance from the sky and the earth? Or Who is the Owner of the ears and the eyes? And Who brings forth the living from the dead and Who brings forth the dead from the living? And Who plans all matters? So they will now say, Allah therefore say, Then why do you not fear?

Say 'Who provides you out of heaven and earth, or who possesses hearing and sight, and who brings forth the living from the dead and brings forth the dead from the living, and who directs the affair?' They will surely say, 'God.' Then say 'Will you not be godfearing?'

Say thou who provideth for you from the heaven and the earth, or who owneth the hearing and the sight, and who bringeth forth the living from the lifeless and bringeth forth the lifeless from the living, and who disposeth the affair! They will then surely say Allah. Say thou will ye not then fear Him?

Say (O MuhammadSAW) Who provides for you from the sky and from the earth? Or who owns hearing and sight? And who brings out the living from the dead and brings out the dead from the living? And who disposes the affairs? They will say Allah. Say Will you not then be afraid of Allah's Punishment (for setting up rivals in worship with Allah)?

Say, Who provides for you from the heaven and the earth? And who controls the hearing and the sight? And who produces the living from the dead, and produces the dead from the living? And who governs the Order? They will say, God. Say, Will you not be careful?

Ask them 'Who provides you with sustenance out of the heavens and the earth? Who holds mastery over your hearing and sight? Who brings forth the living from the dead and the dead from the living? Who governs all affairs of the universe?' They will surely say 'Allah.' Tell them 'Will you, then, not shun (going against reality)?

Say (unto them, O Muhammad) Who provideth for you from the sky and the earth, or Who owneth hearing and sight and Who bringeth forth the living from the dead and bringeth forth the dead from the living and Who directeth the course? They will say Allah. Then say Will ye not then keep your duty (unto Him)?

Say, Who provides for you out of the sky and the earth? Who controls your hearing and sight, and who brings forth the living from the dead and brings forth the dead from the living, and who directs the command? They will say, Allah. Say, Will you not then be wary of Him ?

Say 'Who provides for you from heaven and earth, or who owns the hearing and the sight? Who brings forth the living from the dead, and the dead from the living' Who directs the affair? Surely, they will say 'Allah' Then say 'Then, will you not be fearful'

Say, Who provides for you from the heaven and the earth? Or who controls hearing and sight and who brings the living out of the dead and brings the dead out of the living and who arranges every matter? They will say, Allah, so say, Then will you not fear Him?

(Muhammad), ask them, Who gives you sustenance from the heavens and earth, who truly possesses (your) hearing and seeing abilities, who brings the living out of the dead and the dead out of the living and who regulates (the whole Universe)? They will reply, God. Ask them, Why, then, do you not have fear of Him?

Say Who gives you sustenance from the heaven and the earth? Or Who controls the hearing and the sight? And Who brings forth the living from the dead, and brings forth the dead from the living? And Who regulates the affairs? Then they will say Allah. Say then Will you not then guard (against evil)?

Say, Who provides sustenance for you from heaven and earth? Who is it who controls the ears and the eyes? Who brings forth the living from the dead, and the dead from the living? And who governs all affairs? They will say, God . Then say, Will you not then fear Him?

Say Who is it that sustains you (in life) from the sky and from the earth? or who is it that has power over hearing and sight? And who is it that brings out the living from the dead and the dead from the living? and who is it that rules and regulates all affairs? They will soon say, Allah . Say, will ye not then show piety (to Him)?

Mister WhoWho are you, mister?

Who what, sir?

Say Whose is the sovereignty over all things, who protects, and against whom there is no protection? Answer) if you have knowledge.

Say, In Whose hand is the control over all things, and He provides refuge, and none can provide refuge against Him, if you know?

Say 'In whose hand is the dominion of everything, protecting and Himself unprotected, if you have knowledge?'

Saythou in whose hands is the governance of everything, and who sheltereth but from whom none is sheltered, if ye know?

Say In Whose Hand is the sovereignty of everything (i.e. treasures of each and everything)? And He protects (all), while against Whom there is no protector, (i.e. if Allah saves anyone none can punish or harm him, and if Allah punishes or harms anyone none can save him), if you know. Tafsir Al Qurtubi, Vol. 12, Page 145

Say, In whose hand is the dominion of all things, and He protects and cannot be protected from, if you happen to know?

Ask them Say, if you indeed know, to whom belongs the dominion over all things (Who is it) that grants asylum, but against Whom no asylum is available?

Say In Whose hand is the dominion over all things and He protecteth, while against Him there is no protection, if ye have knowledge?

Say, In whose hand is the dominion of all things, and who gives shelter and no shelter can be provided from Him, if you know?

Say 'In whose Hands is the Kingdom of all things, He protects, and none protects against Him, if you have knowledge'

Say, In whose hand is the realm of all things and He protects while none can protect against Him if you should know?

Ask them, If you have any knowledge, in whose hands is the ownership of all things? Who is the one who gives protection and yet He Himself is never protected?

Say Who is it in Whose hand is the kingdom of all things and Who gives succor, but against Him Succor is not given, if you do but know?

Say, In whose hands lies sovereignty over all things, protecting all, while none can seek protection against Him? Tell me, if you have any knowledge.

Say Who is it in whose hands is the governance of all things, who protects (all), but is not protected (of any)? (say) if ye know.

No calamity befalls unless God dispenses. He guides the heart of whosoever believes in God and God has knowledge of everything.

No misfortune befalls except by Allah s command and Allah will guide the heart of whoever accepts faith in Him and Allah knows all things.

No affliction befalls, except it be by the leave of God. Whosoever believes in God, He will guide his heart. And God has knowledge of everything.

No calamity befalleth save by Allah's leave. And whosoever believeth in Allah, his heart He guideth. And Allah is of everything Knower.

No calamity befalls, but with the Leave i.e. decision and Qadar (Divine Preordainments) of Allah, and whosoever believes in Allah, He guides his heart to the true Faith with certainty, i.e. what has befallen him was already written for him by Allah from the Qadar (Divine Preordainments) , and Allah is the All Knower of everything.

No disaster occurs except by God s leave. Whoever believes in God, He guides his heart. God is Aware of everything.

No misfortune ever befalls unless it be by Allah's leave. And whosoever has faith in Allah, Allah directs his heart along the Right Path. Allah has knowledge of everything.

No calamity befalleth save by Allah's leave. And whosoever believeth in Allah, He guideth his heart. And Allah is Knower of all things.

No affliction visits anyone except by Allah s leave. Whoever has faith in Allah, He guides his heart, and Allah has knowledge of all things.

No affliction falls except by the permission of Allah. For those who believe in Allah, Allah will guide his heart. Allah has knowledge of all things.

No disaster strikes except by permission of Allah. And whoever believes in Allah He will guide his heart. And Allah is Knowing of all things.

No one will be afflicted with any hardship without it being the will of God. The hearts of whoever believed in God will receive guidance. God has the knowledge of all things.

No affliction comes about but by Allah's permission and whoever believes in Allah, He guides aright his heart and Allah is Cognizant of all things.
