Supplementary information provided by the mission shows that the projects will be in the areas of disarmament, demobilization and reintegration (6 projects), public utilities (14 projects), gender (5 projects), education (33 projects), health (19 projects), HIV AIDS (13 projects) and the media (10 projects).

What is our approach?

It is physically the largest project on the planet at the moment.

The grants scheme made it possible to subsidise both topical theme related projects and projects that did not specifically relate to a theme but which fell within the framework of general emancipation objectives.

The aim of the assessment was to identify events actions representing risks that could prevent UNHCR's achievement of the project objectives including its timely and effective completion.

That was one of the big motivating factors.

They were directly relevant to target 18 under MDG eight (Global Partnership for Development), but they also had a large potential in terms of contributing to the achievement of several other MDGs, such as goal one (eradication of extreme poverty), two (education), three (gender equality), six (health) and seven (environment).

It's an incubator for about a dozen projects, all having to do with continuity over the long term.

So there's a lot of projects out there trying to digitize books.

So this is something that we've been working on.

(c) Follow up on Goals 1 and 2

A guide on projects, including cost benefit analysis has been issued and published on the Intranet and is being used for major projects (ITC projects are of limited size and value compared with those of other organizations).

Current challenges include that very few projects have been added that are additional to the currently available OECD survey data.

The comprehensive package is designed to contribute to the achievement of both WASH target 1 (water supply and sanitation Target 10 of the Millennium Development Goals) and target 2 (WASH in schools) in 60 priority countries.
