Representatives of DLR, ESA and the Centre national d'études spatiales (CNES) of France delivered the keynote presentations.

That membership has been taken over by the German Aerospace Center (DLR), which was created on 1 October 1997 through the merger of DARA and the German Aerospace Research Establishment.

Several initiatives are filling that gap, such as the United Nations Organization Satellite (UNOSAT), RESPOND and the facility for the Center for Satellite Based Crisis Information (ZKI) of the German Aerospace Center (DLR).

The IADC membership includes the European Space Agency (ESA), the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the Russian Space Agency (RKA), the China National Space Administration (CNSA), Japan, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and the French Space Agency (CNES).

China joined in 1995 it was followed by the British National Space Centre, the Centre nationale d études spatiales (CNES) of France and the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) in 1996 and by the German Aerospace Research Establishment (DLR) in 1997.

The mission control centre near Moscow and the Cosmonauts apos training centre in Star City have been connected with the ESA establishments (ESTEC, EAC, ESOC, ESA HQ) and the control centres Toulouse and Oberpfaffenhofen, respectively.

ICAO applies space based navigation systems in its communications, navigation and surveillance air traffic management that support the required air navigation performance and contribute to increased aviation safety.

If, as stated in reply to question 4, an aerospace object moving through airspace is considered to be an aircraft, both take off and landing will be regulated by the norms of air law, since air law regulates the technical act of air navigation.

In 1996 the British National Space Centre continued its discussions with the national space agencies of France (CNES), Germany (DARA), and Italy (ASI) and the European Space Agency on harmonization of debris activities.

(e) In the area of microgravity, implementation of the Foton project with the participation of ESA, CNES and the German Aerospace Research Establishment (DLR)

Alcatel Espace will construct the Poseidon II radar altimeter for Jason, a joint mission of CNES and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

According to the spatial approach, an aerospace object is deemed as an aircraft subject to air law in airspace and is deemed as a space object subject to space law in outer space.

If aerospace objects moving through airspace are considered to be aircraft and are consequently governed by air law, it is the norms of air law that have to be applied to them after re entry into the Earth apos s atmosphere.

Directly under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Science, Sports and Culture is the Institute of Space and Astronautical Science (ISAS), a central institute for space and astronautical science in Japan.

The certified employees of the Aviation Security Control trained in the appropriate security educational centers of the International Civil Aviation Organization carry out the inspection process.

6 The national core institutions for this network are the Bulgarian Space Agency (Bulgaria), the Greek Centre for Space Science and Technology (Greece), the Hungarian Space Agency (Hungary), the Space Research Centre (Poland), the National Institute for Aerospace Research (Romania), the Slovak Hydrometeorologic Institute (Slovakia) and the Marmara Research Centre (Turkey).

In March 1995 and November 1995 the British National Space Centre (BNSC) continued its discussions with the national space agencies of France (CNES), Germany (DARA), and Italy (ASI) and the European Space Agency (ESA) on harmonisation of debris activities.

CSA, in collaboration with the United States National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the Centre national d apos études spatiales (CNES) (the French National Centre for Space Studies), has recently made important discoveries with the Wind Imaging Interferometer (WINDII).

A representative of the Legal Department of ESA participated in the panel discussion of the Project 2001Plus workshop on the theme Towards a harmonised approach for national space legislation in Europe , organized jointly by the Institute of Air and Space Law of the University of Cologne and the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Berlin on 29 and 30 January 2004.

GER apos 97 is organized by the Canadian Aeronautics and Space Institute (CASI), the Canadian Space Agency (CSA), and the Canada Centre for Remote Sensing (CCRS), of Geomatics Canada, Natural Resources Canada.

The Centre's facilities were mainly provided by departments of the University and the Regional Centre for Training in Aerospace Surveys, which was also located on the campus of the University.
