In order to promote the debate on the role of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, treaty bodies and specialized agencies in the implementation of the Declaration on the Right to Development, the working group invited to its session the Senior Advisor to the High Commissioner for Human Rights, the Chairman of the Human Rights Committee and a senior officer of the International Labour Organization.

The new Senior Inspection Officer (Administration Finance) brings this specialized expertise into inspection missions.

(b) WMO continues to second one professional to the Secretariat and has contributed to the funding of one general service staff member.

The secretariat will seek overhead resources for additional administrative posts in the professional and general service categories.

Fifty per cent of the advertised senior level posts (D 1 and above), were filled by women, resulting in an increase in female representation in senior level positions from 5 to 21 per cent (figure 3)
