The Board recommended, and the Administration accepted, that the deferred credit account only show future years income and not be operated as a suspense account for unidentified income.

(18) As regards deferred income tax assets liabilities, it is required to list the beginning balance and ending balance in the account book of the confirmed deferred income tax assets liabilities item by item, and list the deductible temporary variance and deductible losses of unconfirmed deferred income tax assets.

In the 2004 05 period, provisions reflected the application of a 5 per cent delayed recruitment factor.

At the end of 1997, these deferred charges had been reduced to 113,619.

19. The Board noted that amounts totalling 7,577,369 and 4,521,321 as at 30 June 1996 and 30 June 1997, respectively, were incorrectly classified as deferred credits pending the identification of the correct accounts to which the incomes should be credited.

109. The most important change was that loans from the State Housing Agency more than doubled and the maturity period was extended to 40 years.

In paragraph 30 of its report, the Board recommended that UNU complete its reconciliation of the deferred charges and accordingly record expenditures in the appropriate financial periods to ensure that expenditures classified as deferred charges pertained only to future financial periods.
