(b) Notification of the assignment or a payment instruction may relate to receivables arising after notification and that notification of a subsequent assignment constitutes notification of all prior assignments.

6. If the debtor receives notification of the assignment of a part of or an undivided interest in one or more receivables, the debtor is discharged by paying in accordance with the notification or in accordance with this article as if the debtor had not received the notification. If the debtor pays in accordance with the notification, the debtor is discharged only to the extent of the part or undivided interest paid.

(b) After the account debtor receives notification of the assignment, subject to paragraphs (c) to (h) of this recommendation, it is discharged only by paying the assignee or, if otherwise instructed in the notification of the assignment or subsequently by the assignee in a writing received by the account debtor, in accordance with such payment instruction

2. After the debtor receives notification of the assignment, subject to paragraphs 3 to 8 of this article, the debtor is discharged only by paying the assignee or, if otherwise instructed in the notification of the assignment or subsequently by the assignee in a writing received by the debtor, in accordance with such payment instruction.

(f) If the account debtor receives notification of the assignment of a part of or an undivided interest in one or more receivables, it is discharged by paying in accordance with the notification or in accordance with this recommendation as if the account debtor had not received the notification.

(c) To such other recipient or recipients as the Party receiving payment may from time to time specify by notification for the purposes of this article.

44. If a decision is taken not to pay, the guarantor issuer is required to promptly so notify the beneficiary, indicating the grounds therefor (article 16(2)).

All documents necessary for customs payments are to be completed, namely budget transfer notice of customs fees and customs fee receipt.

(c) Except where a paid cheque is returned by the bank or a debit advice is received from the bank, a payee's written receipt shall be obtained for all disbursements.

(e) If the account debtor receives notification of one or more subsequent assignments, it is discharged by paying in accordance with the notification of the last of such subsequent assignments

8. Requests Member States to pay those assessed amounts in full within 30 days of the receipt of the communication of the Executive Secretary requesting payment

(b) An advance from the Revolving Credit Fund may be made by the Secretary General to the General Fund on a temporary basis if the amount of such advance is covered by a written notification of payment by a certain date executed by a Member State or States in arrears, in the form specified by the Secretary General.

(d) If the account debtor receives notification of more than one assignment of the same receivable made by the same assignor, it is discharged by paying in accordance with the first notification received

30. The Organization has received no information from Member States that would indicate the prospect of any payment of arrears.

While past experience confirms that the Member State generally does make substantial payments late in the year, it has informed the Secretariat that enabling national legislation has not yet been fully enacted.

Field missions are not able to identify letters of assist with miscellaneous obligating documents since the number of the letter is not quoted against the respective document in the monthly allotment reports.

1. Notification of the assignment or a payment instruction is effective when received by the debtor if it is in a language that is reasonably expected to inform the debtor about its contents. It is sufficient if notification of the assignment or a payment instruction is in the language of the original contract.

Copies of the letters had been used by the Accounts Division to support payments made to troop contributing countries.

11. Investments are kept relatively liquid so that payments can be made on short notice if required.

4. If the debtor receives notification of more than one assignment of the same receivable made by the same assignor, the debtor is discharged by paying in accordance with the first notification received.

The general terms of delivery and payment of the contract contained a choice of German law and special rules on the notice of lack of conformity.

Negotiable instruments and other non payment obligations
