The information submitted by Jordan suggests that there are many other possible causes of water contamination to these springs, some of which have existed for many years prior to and since Iraq's invasion and occupation of Kuwait.

This amount represents a decrease in the compensation claimed, reflecting amendments made by Kuwait based on information obtained from its monitoring and assessment activities.
