The other members of the Conference have appointed specialized staff members who represent them in the Conference.

Five staff members attended the World Conference in Vienna in June 1993.

The programme coordinated the general organization of the Conference, including conference facilities and equipment, provision of conference services and staff servicing the Conference, questions relating to security, immigration requirements and local transportation.

The same would hold true for conference service staff such as interpreters, report writers, typists and conference officers who service these meetings.

The conference secretariat could consist of United Nations staff members and representatives of States.

The UNIDO Staff Pension Committee established by the General Conference (GC.1 Dec.37) held two meetings from 1 January 2004 to 31 March 2005.

ACC standing committees should pursue and enhance their efforts to support policy development based on conference outcomes and to develop guidance for country level staff.

48. The review of actual output levels of conference servicing staff is being used to determine what adjustments can be made in the existing standards.

41. To improve the efficiency of conference services, the Board suggests that the practice of maintaining information on the combined output of regular staff and temporary assistance staff in the translation services should be discontinued and the output of temporary assistance staff should be monitored against total expenditures incurred for their engagement.
